ABSTRACT
This work is on a Ta-Da typed retractable seat and walking stick. Ta-Da retractable seat and walking stick is a versatile mobility aid that is a walking stick for support and a seat for resting. Ta-Da retractable seat and walking stick is an adjustable device which can instantly convert the Ta-Da from stick to chair and vice-versa, giving tired legs and knees rest at a moment’s notice.
In walking stick mode, the majority of the Ta-Da’s weight is located near the stick’s handle, making balance and motion easy.

1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
A retractable seat and walking stick is a device used primarily to aid walking and also served as a seat, provide postural stability or support, or assist in maintaining a good posture, but some designs also serve as a fashion accessory, or are used for self-defense [1].
Retractable seat and walking stick come in many shapes, design and sizes and some have become collector’s items. People with disabilities may use some kinds of retractable seat and walking stick as a crutch. People going to public places used retractable seat and walking stick as a handy and foldable seat with the aim of providing seat for themselves most especially when seats provided for the public is not sufficient [9].
In this work, we are looking at the Ta-Da type of retractable seat and walking stick. Ta-Da Chair is an innovative product with the simultaneous functions of a walking stick and a foldable seat. The key feature is that it is able to be automatically deployed into a chair in a second, and then is easily folded back without great force. The weight of Ta-Da chair is 880g (less than 2 pounds). The size of the collapsed portable chair is minimized once folded back into a walking stick. It is completely water proof, eliminating rust concerns. The user’s safety has been considered in all aspects of its development. It is a portable chair that is useful for all ages [1][2].
1.2 PROBLEM STSATEMENT
Old or sick people such as people with waist problem or broken bones are sometimes advice not to walk alone or stand for a long time. In order for them to walk they will need something or somebody that will support them and a seat to sit on when they reach their destination or when they are tired of walking, a retractable seat and walking stick is used to solve this problem. This device is a device used primarily to aid walking, provide postural stability or support, or assist in maintaining a good posture, and for seating purposes.
1.3 AIM OF THE PROJECT
The main aim of this work is to fabricate a Ta-Da innovative product that functions as a walking stick and a foldable seat.
1.4 PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT
The purpose of this work is to a light in weight, mobile, cheap, and two-in-one device for used as walking stick and a foldable seat.
1.5 SCOPE OF THE PROJECT
Ta-Da is a versatile mobility aid that simultaneously provides the user with a walking stick for support and a seat for resting.
This design, which instantly converts a cane into a chair, offers rest for tired legs and knees at a moment’s notice [1].
With its unique design, the seat can adjust itself according to the angle of the user’s body to maximize sitting comfort.
Once convert into a stick, the bulk weight of the collapsed portable chair is up near the stick’s handle, thereby reducing the user’s effort to swing and carry the stick.
